The Hon. Julie Bishop began her trailblazing public career as a Member of Curtin in 1998. Ms Bishop was Australia’s first female Minister for Foreign Affairs and the first female Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party, a position she held from 2007 to 2018. Recently she has become the Chancellor of the ANU, spoken out about issues affecting women in the public sector, and has even been honoured with her own Barbie doll!
