The Hon Julie Bishop began her trailblazing public career as Member for Curtin in 1998. Ms Bishop was Australia’s first female Minister for Foreign Affairs and the first female Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party, a position she held from 2007 to 2018. She has recently become the Chancellor of the ANU, spoken out about issues affecting women in the public sector, and even honoured with her own Barbie doll!
