Ingrid Staggard is the Director of Learning Design and Professional Development from P-12 at Christian College Geelong where she leads teaching staff to develop and embed highly effective learning and teaching and curriculum design across five campuses. In addition, she has implemented a whole school professional growth and learning program. In 2024, she is also involved in the Teacher Excellence Program at the Victorian Academy of Teaching undertaking an inquiry into self-regulated learning and using agency to improve learner engagement.Â
Ingrid has been involved in the Christian College tailored program for gifted and talented learners, developed for like-minded learners half a day per week. This multi-age program was tailored to meet both their social and academic skill development. This approach provides enrichment within the curriculum, rather than accelerate early and meets each learner’s unique interests. Focus areas in this program are Collaborative problem solving, playing for innovation, individual pursuit of excellence and giving back. As a teacher mentor, I also coach staff to differentiate their programs to meet the needs of gifted learners and harness assistive technologies.
