Renee Dixson, a refugee of Ukrainian Qazaq heritage, is an emerging academic and the co-founder of the FDPN, the first organisation in Australia led by LGBTIQ+ displaced people. FDPN raises awareness about the unique challenges faced by LGBTIQ+ refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants at both national and global levels. Through FDPN, Renee leads advocacy, policy development, and community engagement to achieve systemic change for upholding the rights and dignity of LGBTIQ+ displaced individuals.
