Jess Evans is a dedicated Youth Justice Family Led Decision Making (FLDM) specialist in the FLDM space. A proud Guru-Gulu Gungandji (Green Island) and Torres Strait Islander woman, Jess was born and raised in Brisbane. She originally studied a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at QUT and worked in health policy and Deadly Choices before earning a Diploma of Child, Youth, and Family Intervention. Jess began her career at ATSICHS Deadly Choices and then transitioned to the Youth Justice Family Led Decision Making team. In her current role, she supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families to voice and lead the decision-making processes that influence their youth justice outcomes. Jess is dedicated to making a positive impact through her work, ensuring that the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families are heard and respected in the youth justice system
