Cris has over 25 years’ experience working in the APS. His public service career has included policy and program roles in the areas of Indigenous employment and economic development, strategic policy, corporate governance, and in vocational education and training.
Cris is currently working as Assistant Secretary for Closing the Gap. Cris leads a small unit responsible for driving and supporting the department’s efforts to implement the Priority Reforms contained in the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
Cris is a Sir Roland Wilson – Pat Turner Scholarship recipient, undertaking a Master of Leadership in 2020 and 2021. Cris’ degree included specialisations in business administration, public policy and leadership.
