Across the aged care landscape Claerwen has been a key figure over the past 9 years, appearing before the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, membership of key government Advisory Councils, chairing the highly successful Its Time to Care About Aged Care campaign and the Steering Group on the establishment of Ageing Australia, and advocating on behalf of the UnitingCare network in her role as National Director, UnitingCare Australia until her departure late 2025. She currently provides independent advice and support to individuals, organisations and government working across the community and health sectors.
