Shannon, a proud Gamilaraay woman, brings over a decade of experience in environmental stewardship and community engagement. Her journey began as the Business Support Officer with a Local Aboriginal Land Council. There, she spearheaded a three-year, multi-stakeholder project funded by the NSW state government. This experience solidified her passion for environmental restoration and community collaboration.
As her path unfolded, she transitioned to roles like Aboriginal Programs Officer with the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment & Water, where she shone in program management, ensuring projects were delivered seamlessly.
Now residing on Worimi Country near Newcastle with her family, Shannon remains a beacon of resilience and adaptability. Her unwavering spirit drives her to make a significant impact within and beyond Aboriginal communities.
