Cathy Oddie is a lived experience consultant, advocate, educator, researcher, and specialist family violence practitioner with more than two decades of experience across government, mental health, community services, finance, telecommunication and justice sectors. A victim-survivor of domestic, family and sexual violence, Cathy has played a significant role in shaping policy, legislation, and service reform across Victoria and nationally. Her advocacy contributed to key recommendations arising from the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence and subsequent reforms to victim compensation systems. Cathy currently works in education and research, while serving on Victoria’s Adult Parole Board and multiple advisory and lived experience leadership bodies.
