Charmaine has over 29 years of experience in Child Protection across the Not-for-Profit Sector and as a Senior Executive Leader within the Queensland Public Service. With a career of delivering frontline services and shaping practice improvements for children and families, Charmaine is also proud of the strong sector partnerships developed over many years. Constant learning is very important to Charmaine and she is currently completing an Executive Master’s Program through ANZSOG. Charmaine is an advocate for mentoring and inspiring women to develop their confidence and prioritise their own learning, development and career pathways. Her career in child protection over the last 29 years has been a rewarding and fulfilling career in which she has held a steadfast commitment to serving vulnerable communities whilst developing a broad range of leadership styles to adapt to the ever changing and diverse workforce. Charmaine is passionate about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues and being able to both influence policy and being a strong ally. When Charmaine is not focused on work, she is a busy mother of 4 young adults and is always looking to plan her next travelling adventure or birthday party. Charmaine is passionate about leading with kindness, honesty and good humour.
