Chelsea McKinney is the CEO of Community Legal WA.
Chelsea has a passion for social justice and significant experience in peak bodies, leading policy and law reform, member representation and advocacy, with a focus on improving human rights, and a strong and sustainable community sector. Through her background in front line service delivery and community development, and working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns, Chelsea has successfully ensured systems issues like commissioning and social policy are informed by the realities of service provision. Chelsea developed the first Lived Experience designated staff position in a community legal service organisation in Australia. She believes in the power of working together to address systemic problems, so that we can all access the resources and services needed to enable our needs and human rights to be met.
