Delilah is an Assyrian from Iraq who arrived Sydney in 1981 as a Refugee Humanitarian entrants.

Delilah has extensive experience of 20 years working with Refugees newly arrived through various agencies and has 7 years working with NSW Police as Multicultural Community Liaison Officer, supporting the Crime management unit and build bridges between the Multicultural Communities and the Police.

Currently working with NSW Department of Communities and Justice since 2012, assisting the multicultural community members in accessing the Department’ services, and up skill their knowledge of Law & System in Australia, throughout delivering many events including Religious & Community Leaders seminar on Responding to domestic and family violence, DFV sessions, Court open day, Law expos, and field visits to police stations and local courts where the aim is to break barriers between CALD community members and the authorities.

Delilah is a part of many interagency meetings and multicultural working groups and has shown initiative for and led many successful crime prevention projects to support refugees and newly arrived migrants, and the winner of 2012 NSW Humanitarian award.
