Being a proud and resourceful Gooreng Gooreng woman from South East Queensland, and a resident of New South Wales, I have earned the respect of the local and broader Indigenous community throughout Australia and the Pacific in my work as a Domestic Violence Community Educator and Advocate. I am the Founder and Ambassador of the Breaking the Silent Codes, a charitable organisation which enables vulnerable First Nations Women to find a safe environment in which to share their deeply personal stories and commence their healing journey. I feel honoured to have been invited to host and speak at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women at parallel and side events held by the United Nations in New York in 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2020.
