I am the currently the Assistant Commissioner, Diversity & Inclusion at the Australian Public Service Commission.

I have recently completed my PhD at ANU after being awarded a Pat Turner scholarship through the Sir Roland Wilson Foundation, My doctoral research sought to understand the nature, prevalence and severity of service user violence and aggression perpetrated against frontline Australian Public Servants. 

I am a lecturer in the Clinical Psychology postgraduate course at the University of Queensland’s School of Psychology. My lectures focus on issues such as cultural safety and responsiveness for clinicians as well as the appropriate use of the social and emotional wellbeing framework. 

Prior to commencing my research, I was a Director within the Department of Human Services (now Service Australia) responsible for health & allied health professionals who undertake specialised assessments in Northern Australia, North, Central and South East QLD. I was also the Director for the Department’s Forensic Psychology Team having experience in the forensic psychology field which has seen me work and study in various forensic environments both in Australia and the United Kingdom.
