Emma has over 25 years of experience working in the social work field in Australia and the UK in the areas of domestic and family violence (women’s refuges and services), mental health, youth homelessness, asylum seeker support and child protection. Emma has developed and worked in the Walking with Dads Program (child protection DFV program focusing on engaging perpetrators of coercive control). Currently Emma works for the Dept of Child Safety for the Sunshine Coast and Central Region consulting and supporting child protection practitioners to have a strong partnering foundation with adult and child survivors and to create interventions for fathers to hold them accountable and responsible for their coercive controlling behaviours to increase safety and wellbeing for families. Emma is a Safe and Together trainer.
