Freya is a sworn Plain Clothes Sergeant serving in the Queensland Police Service (QPS). With over 20 years’ experience, Freya’s career commenced in Ipswich District before specialising as an Intelligence Analyst at State Intelligence Group (SIG) located at Police Headquarters.
Freya has worked in various specialist units which are committed to keeping Queensland safe. As a dedicated and participative leader, she has many responsibilities that include managing, coaching, and mentoring members to feel empowered to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
Freya has a Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Justice, and an Advanced Diploma in Police Intelligence. Freya is very committed to the safety and wellbeing of fellow members and is a Peer Support Officer (PSO).
Freya experienced her own personal health battle with Endometriosis, being diagnosed with stage IV in 2020. Freya is quite passionate when discussing Endometriosis, due to her desire to advocate for women to seek specialist medical care at the earliest opportunity to obtain tailored advice and treatment.
