Hayley Brooks is a lived experience advocate and social worker committed to ensuring lived expertise is recognised, valued, and embedded into policy, research, and service design.
She holds several lived experience roles, including as a Lived Experience Committee Member for Blue Knot Foundation, a Lived Experience Ambassador for SANE Australia and is a graduate of Full Stop Australia’s Incubator Program. Hayley has also shared her lived expertise with governments, researchers, and organisations to deepen their understandings of survivor experiences of safety within complex systems and services.
As a social worker, Hayley specialises in accessible user experience (UX) research and design, inclusive community engagement, and trauma-informed approaches. She is known for creating safe, empowering spaces where communities can share their knowledge and experiences, to inform more inclusive services, programs, and policies.
