Kelly Barrett is an accredited trainer, proud social worker and currently leads Women’s Safety Services SA training unit where she develops and delivers domestic and family violence education for the specialist domestic and family sector, and to broader community, NGO, public sector and corporate learners. Kelly has over 20 years of direct service delivery supporting women and children subjected to gendered violence, through therapeutic counselling, case management, crisis response, groups and programs, and community development. In her current role, Kelly works to translate the research on domestic and family violence into practice-based protocols to ensure that responses to domestic and family violence are grounded in evidence and hold central the human rights and dignity of women and children.
