Lauren Cassimatis is the Founder and Principal Lawyer of Gallant Law, the Founder and Chair of Connecting Lawyer Mums and an Adjunct Lecturer at the College of Law. Lauren is a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist in Criminal Law, has over 20 years’ experience in the legal profession, and is one of Australia’s leading criminal lawyers. Lauren specialises in complex mental impairment defences, homicides, WorkSafe, ASIC and other regulatory (quasi-criminal) proceedings. Lauren founded Gallant Law with a vision to protect her clients’ interests beyond the courtroom, advo​​cating for their rehabilitation, identity, relationships, careers and reputation. Lauren is an ambassador for LGBTIQ+, Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander communities, women in business and working parents. Through Connecting Lawyer Mums, Lauren delivers her second passion to help her clients rise above life’s challenges and achieve their professional and personal goals.
