Lesley Johnson is the Head of Pedagogy and Practice Development at Trinity College, South Australia, and the Director of Research at the Trinity Research Institute. She is also a PhD student at the University of South Australia, where she is investigating the networks and practices of teacher professional learning in social learning spaces and the value they create. Lesley’s role extends beyond administration as she continues to work as a teacher, allowing her to apply her research in a practical setting.

With a background as a university lecturer and experience as a junior school teacher, Lesley brings a unique perspective to her research. Her work with Trinity College students and teachers on revitalising the SACE Research Project (EIF/AIF) has provided valuable insights into developing student agency and metacognition.

Furthermore, Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) is an integral part of the Trinity Education Model, and the College, comprising six schools, is working towards a unified approach to translate SRL research into consistent and high-quality practice.
