Lisa has a background in social work and has worked therapeutically with people of all ages to address the impacts of being subjected to violence and abuse, honour the resistances, and understand abuses of power within the social contexts and societal narratives where this violence occurs. Centering the safety of women and children in our community is a foundational tenet of her work. Her last five years have focused on work in the primary prevention of violence which has furthered her passion and hope for social change through building communities where everyday actions are built on, and continue to build, justice, safety, curiosity and connection.
