Mark is a registered psychologist who has held policy and operational roles in government human services, consulted in business management and started as CEO at Nexus in 2013 just as Tasmania became a trial site for the NDIS. During this time he has grown Nexus from a small group home operator to a larger and more diversified provider. With his background in youth services, Mark was comfortable helping Nexus expand into new areas of trauma informed services for people with complex psycho-social and dual diagnosis needs – areas that highlight the risks that a compliance driven quality model has to the rights of people with different values, communications styles and abilities. Mark is also a board Member of the disability peak body National Disability Services (NDS).
