Natasha (Tash) is a proud Kariyarra/Bunuba woman with deep family connections

across the Pilbara and Kimberley regions. Growing up in Port Hedland and now living in Perth with her husband and three children, Tash embodies resilience, leadership, and cultural integrity. Her journey as a wife, mother, and businesswoman has shaped her ability to lead with strength under pressure—an attribute further reinforced by her personal experience overcoming cancer, which deepened her drive to create meaningful change.

As the Managing Director of Kaarla Baabpa Consulting, Tash brings a wealth of expertise in cultural consultation, research development, social policy, and strategic leadership. Holding a Bachelor of Social Work, she has worked extensively across both government and non-government sectors, delivering high-profile projects and embedding culturally safe practices into policy and service delivery. Tash is widely recognised for her ability to elevate the voices of lived experience and embed them into policy and decision-making processes.

She is deeply connected to the community and is respected for her integrity, cultural knowledge, and commitment to self-determination. Tash’s leadership is grounded in cultural governance, values-based decision-making, and a relentless focus on improving outcomes for Aboriginal people, families, and communities.
