Nerida has worked in the Education Sector as a leader and teacher for 20 years. My career has focused predominantly on student wellbeing, safety and engagement and I have led multi-disciplinary teams of education specialists and mental health professionals to support students and their families.

I joined the Victorian Child Information Sharing and Early Childhood Systems Division at the beginning of 2020 – my role has involved the development and delivery of training, implementation support and culture change activities for education workforces.

I am a skilled facilitator and have been developing and delivering workshops in the online and face to face environment, to leaders, educators and professionals across the education, health and families and communities’ sector for the past 3 years. As a subject matter expert in the Child Information Sharing Reforms and how they can be applied across the service system to promote the wellbeing and safety of children and families, I have been invited to participate in discussion panels, forums and as a guest speaker.

As a professional that works in the education sector, I strongly believe that it is the small things that we do every day that make the biggest difference in children’s lives. We have a collective responsibility to work together, to support children and families and ensure they have access to the services and supports they need to achieve their potential.
