Pavel is a regulatory practitioner with 12+ years of experience. His pathway into regulation was unorthodox, starting in medicine in Armenia and graduating with a MBBS in 2006, but upon immigration to Australia he became fascinated with the overlap of medicine, law and regulation. From that point onwards he completed his legal degree, masters in Health and Medical law and worked in various regulatory fields, most recently with Ahpra and currently with Human Services Regulator. Medico-legal regulation is his main area of interest, but his overall passion is in regulatory systems that are aimed at improving the quality and safety of service to the general public and in particular to its vulnerable members.
