Russell is the Deputy Principal Teaching and Learning at Saint Ignatius’ College, Riverview, a position he has held for the past 9 years. Prior to being appointed to this role, he has served as Deputy Principal, Leader of Pedagogy, Head of Faculty and Pastoral Care Leader in Catholic Systemic Schools and NSW Department of Education Schools throughout the Metropolitan South-West of Sydney, as well as serving as a Professional Officer within the Sydney Catholic Education Office as Assistant to the Regional Director.
These experiences have developed Russell’s skills in aligning resources and developing teacher-leaders’ capabilities to bring about optimal learning outcomes for young people.
