Northern Kaanju/Ayapathu Aboriginal woman with over 13 years of dedicated service in the community sector, Shannon brings a wealth of experience and passion to her work, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community health. Over the past seven years, Shannon has focused her efforts on addressing the unique health needs of Indigenous communities, striving to bridge gaps in access and quality of care. Currently, Shannon serves as the Birthing and Early Childhood Services Manager at the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health. In this capacity, Shannon is deeply committed to ensuring that Indigenous families receive the highest standard of care, rooted in cultural respect and understanding. Through innovative programs and partnerships, IUIH aim to empower families and nurture the health and well-being of future generations.
