Stephanie Mittiga is the Digital Transformation Agency lead of the AI in Government Taskforce, jointly led with the Department of Industry, Science and Resources to help the APS safely, ethically and responsibly harness the opportunities of AI. Stephanie brings her training as a lawyer and her experience in international policy and research to the Taskforce, and led the development of the interim guidance on publicly available generative AI platforms released in July this year. Stephanie is also driving the Commonwealth’s work with NSW and other jurisdictions to progress a consistent national approach to the assurance of AI in government.
