Tammi is a Kokoberra woman born and raised on Kalkadoon country in Mount Isa, with ancestral connections to Kowanyama. She completed her Bachelor of Education – Early Childhood and began her teaching career over 25 years ago within the Townsville diocese and internationally. Studying her Masters of Educational Leadership, Tammi’s Systems Adviser role is in partnership with school and system leadership in the integration and alignment of systemic, school, and community perspectives and priorities. Tammi is the Emerging Leaders Incentive Scheme creator, who also coordinates and implements both Stronger Smarter and Pedagogy of Difference research across Townsville Catholic Education. Currently a member of the AERO First Nations Expert Reference Group, and the AITSL Cultural Responsiveness Professional Learning Advisory Group, and both a state and national Australian Council of Education Leadership (ACEL) Award winner. Tammi is a passionate and dynamic advocate for First Nations students and communities within education.
