He also worked as an Executive Officer to two Director-Generals and was Departmental Liaison Officer to two Ministers for Child Safety.

After four years as Regional Director for Brisbane, Sunshine Cost and Moreton Bay at Act for Kids, Tom has taken on the role of National Education Director and commencing Act to Educate. Act to Educate is one of Act for Kids’ innovative services, providing evidence-based and specialist professional development to a wide range of health, educational and community services across Australia. Act to Educate builds off Acts for Kids’ 30 years of experience in delivering therapeutic services to children and support services to families (last year alone helping over 46,000 people), in order to create the opportunity to achieve impact and positive outcomes to vulnerable children, young people and families.

“I am excited by the current Act for Kids programs and the opportunities to deliver contemporary and innovative programs for vulnerable children and their families. I have a genuine interest in establishing effective and logical family-focused partnerships to achieve outcomes for families in an empowering and authentic manner. Partnerships that offer families sophisticated, though practical, solutions to the challenges they are experiencing are critical to achieving the collective goal of safe and happy children. I also have a strong belief that educators, health professionals, and community groups offer great support and lifelong impact for children at risk and vulnerable families, and look forward to developing relationships with partners to support the role they play in the lives of children.”
