As Deputy Director-General of Harm Prevention and Regulation (HPR), within the Queensland Department of Justice (DoJ), Victoria leads a highly skilled, and dedicated state-wide team committed to delivering on HPR’s vision of ‘safe and empowered communities, and fair and responsible markets’.
Victoria’s portfolio is diverse and complex, and includes the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, the Office of Fair Trading, and Queensland Worker Screening Services.
Victoria is dedicated to striking a balance between supporting responsible business practices and safeguarding the interests of Queenslanders, particularly those at-risk such as First Nations consumers, people living with disability and young people. This often requires a new approach, or codesigned solution.
As Commissioner for Fair Trading, Victoria is Queensland’s representative on the national Consumer Senior Officials Network (CSON), the key forum for Australia’s consumer protection regulators. She performs a similar role as Commissioner for Liquor and Gaming at several forums for liquor and gambling regulators.
Victoria has enjoyed over 25 years of public service. She holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and Executive Master of Public Administration.
