Youna Kim is Deputy Director, Communications and Engagement at Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety (ANROWS). She leads national knowledge translation and engagement strategies to ensure research meaningfully informs policy, practice, and systems reform across the domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) sector.

Youna brings extensive experience across prevention, early intervention, response, recovery and healing, with senior leadership roles in specialist domestic and family violence and community service organisations. Her work has spanned victim‑survivor support, perpetrator interventions, child and family services, counselling, child protection and integrated social support programs. She has led large‑scale, evidence‑based initiatives, delivered award‑winning training programs, driven statewide reform and strengthened organisational implementation in alignment with the Victorian Family Violence Reform. Youna also contributes to sector oversight and governance as a Panel Member of the Victorian Worker and Carer Exclusion Scheme, and as Board Director and Secretary of Lucy’s Project, the national peak body addressing the intersection of domestic and family violence and animal abuse.

Youna holds a Master of Social Work, MBA, and qualifications in governance and training, bringing a strong blend of practice, policy, governance and strategic leadership to advancing evidence‑informed DFSV practice.
