Zoe Hawkins is Co-Founder & Deputy Executive Director of the Tech Policy Design Institute, Australia’s first independent think tank dedicated to technology policy. Zoe brings extensive experience designing tech policy from government, big tech, academic and think tank perspectives, and her research has been featured by The New York Times, TIME Magazine, BBC, The Economist, The Financial Times, Forbes, POLITICO, and Vogue. Zoe is a Research Associate at the University of Oxford and an expert for the OECD.AI. Zoe has represented the Australian Government across communications, innovation, and foreign policy portfolios, as an Adviser to Cabinet Ministers and in the public service. Previously, Zoe has worked as a member of Amazon’s International Public Policy Team and an Analyst at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute.
